The World I hadn’t seen before… - CWorld (Cognizant world)

The World I hadn’t seen before… - CWorld (Cognizant world)

My first blog as an employee, obviously I like to share my experience at world’s fastest growing IT giant. Not much days have passed by in office but I would like to share few moments.

I don’t know the answer for one question. “Is it really co-incidental or pre-planned by god or by some superior force that I am employed by Cognizant?” Whatever it may be, I take it pleasure and of course with pride that I am now a part of gigantic news maker.

I always want to be unique and different in positive sense such that my presence is always felt by everyone around me at the time of my absence too. This small ideology of mine made me to think differently rather than in normal way. It led me in a way that only a few will think of. I started looking myself as a son of the society than of a good couple.

I don’t want to be a normal human being. Of course I also don’t want to be a super human. So I made few decisions and wanted to implement them when I have enough strength and freedom to make them happen.

From my school days itself I am interested in working for others for good cause than working for myself. That kindled a spark of fire called social conscience in my mind and I joined social service teams from my school days and delivered my service to the best.

During my higher secondary school days, I started staying at remote villages and serving people as a part of social service team. The spark got induced and it became a flame and it started spreading in my soul through blood.

So, to spread that spark I have, I started doing social work based campaigns during college days where I got more freedom of wandering and working myself into what ever and where ever scenario.

I started my service at college by donating blood and then by visiting homes frequently with friends, serving the needy and the deservers. I got introduced to many people from various walk of life and I shared my time with people of various branches of rotary clubs and I started doing my service in a more bigger environment than before.

The all above lifted me to a much higher position as Secretary of my college Rotaract club during my pre-final year studies. Many say that position and post doesn’t matter to do social service at different levels. But I felt a difference of opinion at that time. As soon I was promoted to that position, I was able to bunk more classes and concentrate more on serving the society. I was able to show huge progress in my scale and I was getting more and more higher level of satisfaction as days went by. I was in a different world surrounded by different people but I didn’t feel the loneliness.

As soon as my studies was over, I came home for a longer stay until I find myself in a world where social service is being given top priority. Months passed by after my college days, cognizant recruited me and I know nothing about the organization except they have a council named OUTREACH to reach where others can’t.

I am still wondering how the thing happened. The thing I mentioned is the frequency between cognizant and me. I am not even aware of the tag line or caption however we call it as of my employer. But it suited my ambitions well. My ambition to serve the society that brought up me to this level.

I have donated blood on 15th November, 2010 @ ASV Suntech Park, Chennai. My first service to the society as an employee. Countless thanks to the organizers and cognizant.

I am still wondering “Is it co-incidence or god (the superior power than human being) played a big role in my life in threading me with cognizant?”

I don’t know the answer. But I am sure of one thing, my journey of serving the society has no end. Hope I will be supported by mates and associates around me.

Thank You.

With regards,
